Common mistakes people do while having acne:

Mistake No. 1: Not completing an Acne Treatment Long Enough

Patients generally do treatment 1 month and then keep using it if they notice any improvement. Further they stop cause they think it will be fine automatically. But in real a doctor needs regular check ups & change medicines according to improvement & also adjust dosage.

Mistake No. 2: Trying Too Many Products at Once

Patients generally take people s advice then doctors:) Even if they are using, honestly they don’t inform doctor, They should ask doctors regarding it. Very often they use products which is not useful at all.

Mistake No. 3: Keep on Cleansing the skin

Scrubbing the skin will actually worsen acne, as it can compromise the skin’s protective barrier and increase irritation, Instead, gently wash with a nonirritating, pH-balanced cleanser to lessen inflammation.

Dirt does not create acne, off course it may worsen it but that does not mean you clean your skin 9-10 times. water or decoction of neem tree leaves are best anti septic.

Mistake No 4: Usage of wrong cosmetic products

It might be surprising but certain ingredients found in products such as cosmetics, sunscreen, and moisturizers are more likely to clog pores. They include isopropyl palmitate, isopropyl myristate, butyl stearate, isopropyl isostearate, decyl oleate, isostearyl neopentanoate, isocetyl stearate, myristle myristate, cocoa butter, acetylated lanolin, and D & C red dyes. Try to use maximum herbal products which are masoor dal ata powder, amla powder, multani mitti, arjun bark powder, kumkumadi oil(yes, even it’s oil that gives best results if used properly).

Mistake No. 5: Popping and Picking at Pimples

Popping and picking pimples prolongs healing time and raises the risk of scarring. Infected material can get pushed further into the skin, leading to more swelling and redness.
